THANKS FOR THE LOVE JAMES!

Kudos to Danny for not getting caught up in all the hype and signing the 31 year old Posey to that 4 year deal. Although his contributions were HUGE, they can be replaced. He was a solid player of the bench, hugely clutch and was great in the locker room....but he lost a step this year on D. It won't be easy to replace him....and I don't think Tony Allen is going to cut it....but this Team is a;; about the BIG 3 not James Posey.
Unlike the last 10 years in Boston....players now WANT to come here and join the party. I have no negatives for Pose....he had to get his deal and I understand. I just thank the guy for being everything you want in a bench player a true team first guy that will be missed. I for one will never forget his steal in Detroit of Prince or his absolute MONSTER 3 pointer in the 4th quarter of the LA comeback game.
I hope this non signing was more about principle and what is good for the team in the long run and not the owners trying to save a buck. I doubt the latter but it should be mentioned.
In Danny I Trust!!

I'm still smiling!!!

What do you think Danny is looking for in this draft....Pick 30 and 60 are tough....I guess based on the position he is picking from he must go with a long term science project.

GAME 6

CELTS IN FIVE!!!

This would really suck for the gophers considering we have tickets to game 6....but I don't see the Lakers having any real answers for the Celtics size and defensive toughness. Kobe will get his numbers and have a couple of 60 points games......but ultimately Gasol and the LA interior defense have no answers for the Celtics bigs. I expect Ray Allen to have a HUGE game 2 due to the fact KOBE will have to spend some more time covering Pierce. Allen will be able to take advantage of the EURO scrubs covering him on LA.

This LA team is good....but not that good....the Spurs were completely out of gas after the NO series and LA has yet to really be tested.....Boston is battle tested and hungry. .....and for once I can't agree more with DRO.....Defense and Size is going to win this series.

Seeing how BOSTON has a far superior defense and much bigger and stronger players....I expect them to take two out of 3 in LA. Plus the series schedule is spread out and that helps the older Celtics players and Pierce should have a couple of big games out there.

Very BOLD I know but.....KG will dominate this series....but the MVP will go to Pierce after he absolutely catches fire in LA.

Question....If the Celts due win Banner #17 will there be a DUCK BOAT PARADE??? I don't think there is enough interest.....Thoughts??

They write about our raids in the papers . . .

So we were sitting behind one JA Adande at game 1 of the finals and clearly made an impression.

"J.A. Adande: I don't like being in Boston. I think it has the worst weather in the country (that's coming from a guy who lived in Chicago for 6 years). The street layout is a mess; terrible drivers. But I have to respect the Celtics fans, particularly when I was sitting in the lower bowl in the second half. They're into the game at all times. Not talking on their cell phones or making plans for afterward. Every word I heard throughout the second half involved the game, strategy, etc. They were on their feet about half the time. But man, I wish I had the alcohol concession in that building. Every time they showed a fan on the scoreboard screen, he or she was holding a beer "

Next thing you know we are gonna need a youth worker

I'm saying Celtics in 7

Does anyone else think Perk is an X factor in this series? I have a feeling he's gonna have lots of his garbage point opportunities.

Series predictions?

Celts in 6. We watch the clincher from our Game 6 seats...and all of the misery was worth it in the end....suffering through 20 years of Frank Brickowski, Marty Conlon, ML Carr, Little Ricky Pitino, Jerome Moiso, Eric Montross, Kedrick Brown, Chris Wallace, Todd Day, Dana Barros, Ricky Davis, Mark Blount, Marcus Banks...the list goes on and on...pure misery.

Defense and rebound win this title.....17 is on its way home. Thanks McHale....the Gophers appreaciate it.
